Women’s Golf Take Second in Lone Day of CSUSM Fujikura Invite

With three players finishing inside the top 18, Academy of Art Women’s Golf finished second in the Cal State San Marcos Fujikura Invitational at the Shadowridge Country Club. Abandoning the two-day format, both rounds of the tournament were played on March 9 with rain in the forecast for the following day.

Back-to-back combined round totals of 308 were led by junior architecture major Anahi Servin’s 2-over 74 in the first 18, then junior architecture major Iveta Posledni’s even 72 in the second round. Posledni ended as the team leader tied for fifth with a 149 (77-72) while Servin came in tied for 11th on a 152 (74-78). Senior Han-Chuan “Vicky” Kuo (Motion Pictures & Television) matched scores with three others, finishing 18th with a 155 (79-76) while senior Elan Hawkins (Industrial Design) served as the Urban Knights’ final scorer at 163 (78-85) in 54th.
