Today, Art U News will be joined by Academy of Art University School of Fashion alumna Makayla Godden (B.F.A., ’20) on Clubhouse for a live interview.
Godden will be discussing her experience creating garments for the award-winning HBO series “Mare of Easttown” as well as her brand, Mak Made It.
Meet Makayla Godden
Makayla Godden graduated from Academy of Art University’s School of Fashion with her B.F.A. in Textile Design in 2020. During her time at the Academy, she was a member of Art U Women’s Soccer. In 2020, Godden was selected for the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Fashion Future Graduate Showcase. She has launched her fashion brand, Mak Made It, which offers one-of-a-kind upcycled garments featuring hand-painted designs. Godden’s work can be seen in the award-winning HBO series “Mare of Easttown” starring Kate Winslet, Jean Smart, and Evan Peters.
