It’s officially Oscar season! The nominees for the 93rd Oscars were announced on Monday, March 15, and some terrific films from the past year were recognized by the Academy. Receiving a whopping 10 nominations—including Best Picture—is “Mank.” “The Father,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Minari,” “Nomadland,” “Sound of Metal,” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7” each received six nominations. “Promising Young Woman” received five nominations.
