Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Enes Olcay is a product designer with a deep passion for the intersection of design, technology, and the future of mobility. He has a background in psychology, which gives him a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and decision-making. This perspective plays a key role in how he approaches design, helping him create products that feel intuitive, thoughtful, and human-centered.

Olcay studied Interaction & UI/UX Design at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts. His thesis focused on user experience design for autonomous vehicles, which became the foundation of his career.
During his time in grad school, Olcay had the opportunity to work on several sponsored projects with leading automotive companies, exploring next-generation experiences in mobility. This hands-on collaboration shaped his approach to designing for complex systems and emerging technologies.
Olcay spent nearly seven years at Volkswagen Group’s Innovation Center California, where he led the design of future-facing concepts for brands like Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, and Lamborghini. His work spanned speculative research, concept development, and experience design, all with a focus on imagining what’s next for transportation.
Most recently, Olcay joined Uber as a Product Designer, focusing on autonomous vehicles. He’s excited to be contributing to a team that’s shaping how people will move through cities in the future.
Outside of work, Olcay also teaches product design at a university. It’s a way for him to give back to the design community and help mentor the next generation of designers.
