Kyo Kim was born and raised in South Korea, where he studied filmmaking at a Korean University. Kim moved to the U.S. in 2010, intending to further his education and career in film. Once enrolled at Academy of Art University, Kim’s educational and career path took a pivotal turn when he discovered his avid interest in Interaction & UI/ UX product design, inspired by the early generations of the iPhone.
Since Kim’s graduation from the Academy in 2017, he has made significant contributions across various companies, including startups and industry giants like Zillow, Samsung, Capital One, Lyft, Facebook, and Lenme—a financial software company that he co-founded.
Kim’s primary focus is on user experience. He is deeply passionate about making a person’s interaction with products both delightful and meaningful. He cherishes the opportunity to enhance daily life through thoughtful design and is grateful to do work that he loves every day.
